Long experience as a production technician at Bobe Plast

Bobe Plast was founded in 1969 with a focus on injection moulding of engineering plastics and has been part of the Liljas Plast Group since 2001, a community driven by technology and people. Part of the Bobe Plastic for 27 years

Mattias Berglund is a production technician at Bobe Plast in Vansbro and has been a big part of the business for 27 years. As a key player in the team, Mattias is part of the management team where he shoulders the responsibility with great enthusiasm. 

In the early 90s, plastics production looked a bit different compared to today, to say the least. Throughout his career, Mattias has seen production technology improve considerably. He says it gives a greater understanding of production as a whole.  

- It has been a useful experience to have the opportunity to be on the manual dials and knobs of today's machines with touch screens.

Bobe Plastic - part of Liljas Plast Group 

Bobe Plast became part of Liljas Plast Group in 2001 and has thus been part of the group for most of Mattias' career. There is close co-operation between the plants both internationally and in Sweden. 

- I think that the contact with other colleagues works well, both internationally and within Sweden, Mattias says. 

Production development in Swedish industry 

Many industries in Sweden are continuing to modernise, not least at Liljas Plast Group, and there is currently a strong demand for production technicians and similar occupational groups with expertise in automation and digitalisation. Mattias is optimistic about the future and says: 

– I believe that Swedish industry has great opportunities to remain strong in the future, and if you are interested in technology, you should take a technical programme specialising in automation. It is a varied job with many interesting challenges. 

After 27 years at the same workplace, Mattias has become an integral part of Liljas Plast Group's journey. His development and the insights he shares in the management team are invaluable, for which Liljas Plast Group is grateful.
